His writing credits also include celebrity profiles for BBC Online (Prunella Scales, Jonathan Miller, Tony Benn) and articles for the BBC's Ariel magazine on subjects such as creative thinking.

He has written scripts for Stephen Fry, John Peel, Emma Freud, Laurie Pike, Mark Lawson, Laurie Taylor, Johnny Walker, Lenny Henry and Robbie Williams.

Writing for Radio

Peacock can rustle up a clever reportage-essay on any subject
The Oldie

An expert on scripting for the voice, he has run the BBC's Writing for Radio course for many years and has trained many well-known broadcasters in the art of producing effective listener-friendly scripts. His students have ranged from reporters on Radio 4's Today Programme to Radio 1 presenters.

Ian has also written many news bulletins for the BBC and Independent Radio and Entertainment News for Channel 4 Television.

Agents

His agents are Gregory and Company (fiction) and Jane Judd (non-fiction). Somewhat unusually, he has two agents but has yet to get round to writing a  whole book.

Ian's style is conversational and accessible but also witty and incisive, with a polemical twist.
